DPL™ Overview
    DPL™ Therapy utilizes 154 infrared (880nm) LEDs and 20 red (660nm) LEDs - Light Emitting Diodes. These wavelengths provide safe, healthy treatments. Infrared LED light stimulates your skin to produce collagen and elastin. The infrared light produced by LED wavelengths, aka photo rejuvenation, stimulates fibroblast cell activity in the skin, which increases the production of collagen and elastin—the proteins responsible for your skin's tone and elasticity. The effects of infrared LED light therapy on the skin and body have been reported in over 2000 scientific reports and documents.  The DPL™ System uses a form of energy called “Photons” to penetrate deep into the body easing pain and repairing damaged tissues. The DPL™ Therapy System is a non-invasive, drug free therapy which can be applied to your specific and individual needs.
 
     The key property of the near infrared waves is that they bypass the epidermis and are absorbed throughout the dermis, causing dermal heating. Dermal heating with infrared waves has both immediate and long-term effects. The immediate effect is heat-induced collagen contraction, which may cause mild and possibly short-term skin tightening and wrinkle reduction. More importantly, the longer-term effect is skin remodeling, which takes place for up to six month after the initial heating. This may lead to a longer-term improvement in wrinkles and some skin tightening, although individual responses vary significantly. On average, wrinkle improvements are moderate: small and medium wrinkles and acne scars (especially pitted ones) often noticeably improve. Deep wrinkles, especially those due to facial movement, are less likely to get much better.

What can the DPL™ do for me?

• Increases circulation. Circulation is increased by increasing the formation of new capillaries, which are additional blood vessels that replace damaged ones. New capillaries speed up the healing process by carrying more oxygen as well as more nutrients needed for healing and they can also carry more waste products away. The iIncreased circulation heasl and repairs damaged skin tissue. This increase in circulation also causes the body to rid itself of wastes and toxins.
• Stimulates the production of collagen which lessens build up of scar tissue. Collagen is the most common protein found in the body. Collagen is the essential protein used to repair damaged tissue and to replace old tissue. It is the substance that holds cells together and has a high degree of elasticity. By increasing collagen production less scar tissue is formed at the damaged site. RNA, Ribonucleic Acid, a polymeric constituent of all living cells and many viruses, consisting of a long, usually single-stranded chain of alternating phosphate and ribose units with the bases adenine, guanine, cytosine, and uracil bonded to the ribose.DNA, Deoxyribonucleic Acid, is a nucleic acid that carries the genetic information in the cell and is capable of self-replication and synthesis of RNA.

Harry T. Whelan, MD, professor of pediatric neurology and director of hyperbaric medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, states: "LED treatment has been a wonderful advancement," Dr. Whelan says. "LEDs don't heat the tissues the way lasers do; because LED uses longer wavelength (redder) near-infrared light, it penetrates the tissues deeper. And where lasers are more pinpointed in their delivery, LED can treat the entire body. That's useful for treating people with serious burns, crush injuries, and complications of cancer chemotherapy and radiation treatment, where large portions of the body are involved."

Do not apply light to an open wound, as heat may stimulate circulation and cause bleeding. How is it used for PAIN:
--Using strap provided, place panels on areas of body you wish to treat.
--Place unit directly onto area for 30 to 40 xminutes per area per day to help reduce pain xand inflammation in cases of fibromyalgia, xarthritis, tendonitis, sprains, torn muscle, broken xbones, post surgical scars, wounds, cuts burns xor nerve damage.
--Press power button and release.

You will hear a beep and the Red LED’s will come on.
You can only see the Red LED’s. The other diodes in the infrared spectrum cannot be seen with the human eye.
The system beeps every minute for a total of 17 minutes. The system automatically turns off at the end of 17 minutes so for shorter periods, simply turn off the power button.                                                                                                  Back to top
